Stop Stopping
Stop Stopping
As we continue to each work on our own 'projects' or start new ones, we tend to have a lot of inspiration and action when we start, then something along the way gets us distracted and soon we begin to feel discouraged and next thing we know we get so side-tracked whatever we started never gets finished. Whether it is piano lessons, a new fitness regimen or a new sales system in business.
We need to stop stopping.
Imagine if we just stayed with the projects that we were working on, where would we be?
I read somewhere, and I can't remember where, that if you do something for 18 minutes a day you'll be better than 95% of the population at that thing. Who knows if this is true, but the sentiment is good. If we just simply continue what we're doing we will get better at it.
The reason we started whatever project we are working on is because we wanted something to change in our life. If we stop, then nothing changes, and if nothing changes; nothing changes.
It's ok to slow down, just don't stop. As a runner, I know that if I run at a certain pace, my heart rate will be too high and it isn't sustainable. I simply need to slow down. I'm still making progress towards the finish line. Same thing in life. We are allowed to slow down, but don't stop.
Stop stopping.
